Expert treatment for mental health across multiple states

I offer a fully virtual practice, making it easier for patients in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Illinois and Indiana to access quality psychiatric care. No matter where you are, I am here to support your mental health journey.

As a psychiatrist, I am board-certified in both Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry and Neurology. My extensive training allows me to address a wide range of mental health disorders across different age groups.

I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with another person’s care. Seeking psychiatric treatment often arises during moments of vulnerability, transition, or uncertainty. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, and I take the trust involved in that decision very seriously.
I approach each therapeutic relationship with openness, empathy, and curiosity. My goal is to offer a nonjudgmental, thoughtful space in which assumptions are set aside and each individual’s experience is met on its own terms. I believe healing begins when a person feels genuinely seen, understood, and respected.
As a physician, my training provides a comprehensive foundation in the physiological, and neurochemical aspects of mental health. Medical school and psychiatric residency emphasize understanding the interconnectedness of the brain and body, including when medication may be helpful and how underlying medical conditions can contribute to or exacerbate psychiatric symptoms. This perspective allows me to offer careful, nuanced, and medically informed care.
At the same time, I believe that meaningful healing extends beyond diagnosis and medication alone. Psychotherapy is an essential part of addressing emotional suffering, fostering insight, and facilitating lasting change. I have pursued extensive additional training in psychotherapy and integrate several evidence-based and depth-oriented approaches, including supportive therapy, interpersonal-dynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
When clinically appropriate, I prefer to work with patients using both psychotherapy and medication management within an integrated and collaborative framework. Together, we develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects each individual’s needs, values, and goals—supporting not only symptom relief, but a deeper sense of balance, resilience, and well-being.

I graduated from the University of Richmond, magna cum laude, with departmental honors in biology and a Bachelor of Science degree. I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. I completed my adult psychiatry residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, one of the leading hospitals in New York City for the treatment of addiction. I served as chief resident during my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Mt. Sinai West Hospital, a leading hospital in the treatment of childhood and adolescent disruptive mood disorders.
